It was fascinating to hit both Giverny and Versailles in the same day.
Monet loved the English style of gardening, and shaped his garden at
Giverny to be gloriously wild -- a profusion of shapes and colors.
Versailles is lavish inside, but its gardens are rigid, and (frankly)
rather dull. I so much prefer Giverny. Here are a few more photos.
Bethany looks like a lovely English lass here.
A nice family shot. So strange to be the shortest in the family!
