Mark: Why I love this building? It addresses my faith in the symbolic language of postmodernism. This makes it unique in my experience. It is thick with symbols that my mind enjoys interpreting, and my spirit finds peace for contemplation in its spaces. The aesthetics and philosophy of modern architecture largely repels me. Medieval symbolism does not speak my language. So I love looking through Gaudi's eyes at nature, beauty, God, the world, and our place in it all.
