I've been reflecting while here how we Americans tend to do things big. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the huge space of the American continent vs the smaller spaces of Europe? Any thoughts?

Things run a bit smaller in Europe
Since we had six people, we rented a minivan for our travels, thinking it would be about the size of an American minivan. It's not. We have to lose one of the far back seats of the van in order to fit in all six suitcases. (Thank heavens we each only have on carry-on sized suitcase!)
